What is Orbex Data?

Orbex Data connects your shipment data, carrier updates, and internal systems into a single control tower. Operations teams use it to track milestones from booking through delivery, manage bills of lading and customs documents, and resolve exceptions before they become customer escalations.

The platform is built for B2B logistics workflows: multi-branch forwarders, NVOCCs, freight brokers, and enterprise shippers running complex international supply chains. Unlike generic project tools, Orbex Data models shipments, legs, containers, parties, and trade documents as first-class objects.

Who uses Orbex Data?

Operations managers, customer service teams, documentation specialists, and supply chain analysts at organizations moving freight across borders.

How data flows

Shipment records enter Orbex Data through manual creation, bulk upload, carrier connections, or API sync from your TMS. Carrier events—gate-in, vessel departure, customs release, delivery—are normalized into a standard milestone timeline. Documents attach to shipments and trigger validation rules before handoff to finance or customs brokers.

Typical integration points

  • TMS or forwarding system of record for booking and house bill data
  • Carrier APIs and EDI for container and vessel tracking
  • ERP or accounting for invoice matching and accruals
  • Email and collaboration tools for customer-facing updates

Orbex Data does not replace your TMS for rate management or booking execution. It complements your operational stack with visibility, documentation, and analytics layers.

Getting oriented

New workspaces start with a guided setup: define branches, invite users, connect at least one carrier or data source, and import a sample shipment file. Most teams have their first live shipments visible within one business day.
